Our second centre in Adhoi, Kutchh which was developed after the devastating earthquake in 2001. The school was built with the help of the Gujarat Earthquake Relief Fund which was contributed to by nine Asian charities in the UK.
Currently, 500 children board and study here free of charge as the income level of the local people is still very low and thus are supported by overseas donors.
Historically Kutchh has suffered from poor education provision. After establishing the school twenty years ago, BET with its teaching staff in Adhoi have worked very hard to create an environment where education can thrive, and children can learn together in harmony. After many years of average results, the school is now producing excellent results academically while continuing to build on their strengths in sports and cultural fields.
